Sjuts, Blaser Combine on No-Hitter for Lakeview Seniors

After scoring 36 runs in their first two games of the season, the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors were held to three runs last night but thanks to a combined no-hitter picked up their third straight win.

Jacob Sjuts pitched five hitless innings and Kolby Blaser worked the final two frames to complete the gem in a 3-0 home victory over Arlington.  Sjuts walked six, while striking out eight.  Blaser issued one walk and had 4 K’s. 

In the early game at Pawnee Park Field, the Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds dropped a 6-4 decision to Arlington.  The Junior Reds will take a 1-1 record into their home game against Yutan tonight.  First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
