Shelley Sets NU Record With Nine 3’s in Win Over Illinois

Jaz Shelley set the Nebraska single-game record with nine three-pointers and the Huskers beat Illinois 92-74 in the second round of the Big Ten tourney.
Shelley’s nine threes tied a tournament record, while NU set a tourney record with 15 total treys. Shelley finished with 32 points and Alexis Markowski had 22 points and nine rebounds.
Sixth-seeded Nebraska takes on third-seeded and 10th-ranked Michigan in tonight’s quarterfinals. Tipoff will be at approximately 7:30 p.m. and the game will be televised by BTN.
