Shamrocks Hoops Squads Split Twin Bill vs. Bulldogs

Scotus Central Catholic and Humphrey-Lindsay split a girls/boys basketball doubleheader Thursday night.

The Shamrocks boys raced past the Bulldogs 76-33.  Caleb Cameron scored a game-high 17 points, while Cohen Pelan and Carson Wessel had 16 apiece for Scotus, which improved to 7-3.  Humphrey-Lindsay slipped to 4-6.

The Scotus girls suffered their first loss of the season, getting edged 56-52.  Claire Korth scored a game-high 38 points to lead the Bulldogs to the win, which upped their record to 9-2.  Sofia Karges had 16 points and Emma Brezinski added 13 for the Shamrocks, who are now 9-1.

The Scotus girls will visit Bishop Neumann on Saturday, before both ‘Rocks clubs host Norfolk Catholic next Tuesday on KLIR 101.  Both Bulldogs teams welcome Laurel-Concord-Coleridge to Humphrey Friday night.
