Several Area Athletes Win Gold Medals at State Track

Several area athletes earned gold medals in the state track and field meet for Classes C and D on Friday and Saturday. 

Girls gold medalists included Sarah Forsberg of Cross County in the Class C long jump, Janna Roberts of Osceola in the Class D pole vault, Nebraska Christian’s Sheridan Falk in the Class D 100 meter hurdles and Class D Central Valley’s 400 meter relay team. 

On the boys side, gold medals were earned by Garrett Novacek of Aquinas in the Class C high jump, Jordan Settles of North Bend Central in the Class C pole vault, St. Paul’s Christopher Thomas in the Class C 800 meters, Nebraska Christian’s Micah Perdew in the Class D triple jump and Class D High Plains Community’s 3200 relay team.
