Scotus Tops Scouts, Other Girls Subdistrict Final Scores
The Scotus girls basketball team is one win away from a trip to the state tournament. For the second year in a row, the Shamrocks beat David City in a subdistrict final, winning 49-33.
After taking a 23-18 lead into halftime, Scotus outscored the Scouts 18-6 in a decisive third quarter. The Shamrocks advanced to a district final with a 16-8 record, while David City’s season likely ended at 19-5.
In other subdistrict finals, North Bend Central topped West Point-Beemer 45-21, St. Paul fell to GICC 64-39, Nebraska Christian won at Cross County 35-23, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family defeated Elgin Public/Pope John 60-45, Osceola shaded Hampton 30-29, and Humphrey St. Francis rolled over Riverside 72-22.
