Scotus Soccer Teams Win, Lakeview’s Clubs Fall

Emma Brezenski scored five goals and had three assists, leading the Scotus girls soccer team to a 10-0 rout of South Sioux City last night. 

The subdistrict semifinal win at Wilderness Park was the 12th straight victory for the top-seeded Shamrocks and upped their record to 13-2.  In the other girls semifinal, Lakeview fell to Lutheran High/Norfolk Catholic 3-2.  The loss ended the Vikings season with a 6-9 mark.  Today’s girls subdistrict title match is set for 5 p.m. 

In Monday’s boys action, Scotus cruised to a 10-0 victory over Seward.  The No. 1 seed Shamrocks are 11-4 and will take on second-seeded Schuyler in today’s subdistrict final at 3 p.m.  The Warriors beat Lakeview 3-0 yesterday, upping their record to 5-10.  The Vikings finished 2-11.
