Scotus Soccer Teams Make State, Lakeview Girls Fall

Both Scotus soccer clubs posted wins at Wilderness Park, while Lakeview’s girls were downed at Lincoln in Saturday’s district finals.

In boys action, the Shamrocks beat Schuyler 2-0, ending the Warriors’ season at 11-8.  Scotus improved to 12-6 and earned the number-6 seed in the state tournament.  The Shamrocks will face third-seeded Mount Michael Benedictine Thursday at 1 p.m. 

The Scotus girls topped Ralston 6-0 to up their record to 13-4.  The number-4 seed Shamrocks take on fifth-seeded Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central Friday at 7 p.m.  That team advanced to the state tourney with a 6-0 district final victory over Lakeview, ending the Vikings season at 10-7.
