Scotus Girls Golf Team, Arndt Win District Titles to Make State

The Scotus Central Catholic girls golf team has qualified for next week’s Class C state tournament. 

The Shamrocks won the C-2 district title yesterday by carding a team score of 382 at Oakland Golf Club.  Scotus junior Cecilia Arndt shot a 79 to win the district championship. 

Two other Shamrocks finished in the top 10.  Kaelyn Dierman’s 97 was good for seventh and Quinn VunCannon was tenth with a 99.  Boone Central’s Taylor Beierman was second to Arndt in the individual standings at 88.  Fullerton’s Emily Beed also qualified for state by finishing in the top 10 after shooting a 98 and placing eighth. 

The state tournament will be held at Elks Country Club next Monday and Tuesday.
