The Scotus girls golf team finished third in the C-2 district tournament yesterday to qualify for the state tournament.

Boone Central won the district title by carding a team score of 395 at Oakland Golf Club.  Cardinals senior Abby Brodersen won the individual title by firing a 77.

Shamrocks freshman Cecilia Arndt had the top score for Scotus, with her 91 good for third place.  Fullerton sophomore Emily Beed shot a 99 to finish seventh and qualify for next week’s state tourney.  It will be held Monday and Tuesday at Elks Country Club.

Meantime, no Lakeview or Schuyler girls golfers advanced to state from yesterday’s B-3 district at Jackrabbit Run.  The Vikings posted a team score of 417 to tie Aurora for fifth place, one spot ahead of the Warriors who shot 422 as a team.
