Scotus Boys Top Lakeview, Will Face David City Next

Scotus used a seven-point trip down the court to break a tie on its way to a 52-44 win over rival Lakeview in boys basketball last night.
The C1-5 subdistrict semifinal was tied at 36-all in the fourth quarter when the Vikings were called for a personal foul and two technical fouls. Cohen Pelan made five of six free throw attempts and the Shamrocks scored on the following play to take a 43-36 lead.
With the win, Scotus improved to 16-7 and 3-0 against their rivals this season. Lakeview wound up 5-18.
In the other semifinal, David City beat North Bend Central 67-48. The Scouts are 16-8 and will visit Scotus in the subdistrict final. It’s set for tomorrow at 6 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
