The Scotus boys basketball team lost Garrett Oakley to an injury early in the third quarter and wound up losing to Norfolk Catholic 63-53 last night. 

Oakley had 12 points and the Shamrocks only trailed by five when he went down with an apparent ankle injury and did not return.  The loss dropped Scotus to 4-7. 

In the girls game at the Dowd Activity Center, the Shamrocks got by the Knights 48-44 in overtime. 

The contest was tied at 39-all at the end of regulation.  In overtime, Janae Rusher hit a three-point shot and the Shamrocks went 6-of-9 at the free throw line as they improved to 7-6. 

Both Scotus clubs visit Lincoln Christian on Friday.
