Schuyler Man Arrested After Saturday Pursuit

COLUMBUS- A Schuyler man was arrested over the weekend after a pursuit through Columbus.

At 8:16 a.m. Saturday, as a vehicle driving through an alley was attempting to turn onto 26th Ave. in Columbus, the driver of the vehicle had to take evasive action so as to miss colliding with a Platte County Deputy who was driving on 26th Ave. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and continued in their attempt to elude the deputy and other law enforcement. The vehicle was driven north through Columbus where the driver then traveled eastbound on the Parkway. The driver eventually drove the vehicle into the parking lot of the apartment complex Flats on 5th. The driver bailed from the vehicle and then attempted to hide themselves under a parked car there in the parking lot.

The driver, 22-year-old Connor Krivanek, was located and taken into custody on the charges of Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving, Driving During Revocation, Failure to Yield Right of Way and Stop Sign Violation.
