Scheierman Taken by Celtics in First Round of NBA Draft

Creighton’s Baylor Scheierman was selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-7 guard was picked No. 30 overall last night by the NBA champions.  Scheierman became the fifth CU player since 2014 to be selected in the NBA Draft.

The Aurora, Nebraska native starred for the Bluejays the past two seasons after being a three-year standout at South Dakota State.  He became the 11th men’s player in NCAA history to score at least 1,000 points at multiple Division I schools.
