Scheierman Tabbed By Big East as Player of the Week

Creighton guard Baylor Scheierman was named Big East Player of the Week on Monday.

Scheierman averaged 23.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per game as the Bluejays posted wins over Seton Hall and Marquette.  He made 14-of-28 shots from the floor, including 12-of-22 three-pointers.

The Jays senior had double-doubles in both games and his 14 such games are the most by a CU player since 1984-85.

Monday marked the second time this season he has been honored as the conference’s player of the week.
