Schanaman Inks Free Agent Deal With Atlanta Braves

Nebraska senior reliever Shay Schanaman has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Braves.
Schanaman was a third-team All-Big Ten pick this past season, after going 3-6 with a 3.07 ERA and six saves. He racked up 66 strikeouts in 55.2 innings and held opponents to a .189 batting average.
In five seasons with the Huskers, the Grand Island native ranks fifth with 247 career strikeouts.
