Saturday Recap Of State Volleyball Tournament

In the state volleyball tournament on Saturday, Howells-Dodge won its first title, St. Francis settled for a runner-up finish and both Lakeview and Nebraska Christian won third place matches. 

The Jaguars defeated Archbishop Bergan 3-1 in the D1 championship.  In the D2 title match, the Flyers fell to Falls City Sacred Heart in five sets. 

Lakeview swept GICC in three sets as the Vikings finished 32-5 and in third place in C1 for a second straight year.  Nebraska Christian beat Elmwood-Murdock 3-1 as the Eagles took third in D1.
