Satterfield Says Tight End Thomas Fidone “Looks Like a Different Guy”

Nebraska offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Marcus Satterfield says he loves coaching tight ends.

Speaking on Monday’s Sports Nightly, Satterfield said he’s an emotional guy which “probably isn’t good for coaching quarterbacks all the time.”  He said the Huskers tight ends took a huge step this spring.  And Thomas Fidone, who battled injury problems earlier in his career, “looks like a different guy right now.”

“He’s moving very well,” Satterfield said.  “He’s humongous, he’s I think 250, 255 (pounds) right now and can absolutely roll.  His ball skills continue to improve.  He’s got really good ball skills, but that’s something he works on every day.”

The Huskers will open their fall camp on Wednesday.
