Rowe, Van Cleave Earn KLIR Prep Club Awards

Lilly Rowe and Adam Van Cleave were voted by KLIR Prep Club sponsors as Lakeview’s winners of the 37th annual awards. 

Rowe starred for the Vikings volleyball team as a senior, earning First Team All-State honors from the Omaha World-Herald and Second Team All-State accolades from the Lincoln Journal Star.  As a senior, she finished second on the team in kills and aces and third in digs.  Rowe was also a four-year letterwinner in basketball.  She plans to play volleyball at Midland University. 

Van Cleave helped Lakeview’s football team win its first state title last year.  On the season, he rushed for 1,190 yards and 19 touchdowns, had 27 catches for 591 yards and eight TDs and had two interceptions.  Van Cleave earned all-state honors in football and was named team MVP.  In basketball, he ranked second in scoring with 7.4 points and led the Vikings with 2.3 assists per game as a senior.  He has qualified for the state track meet and this year has posted career-best times in the 100 and 200-meter dashes.  Van Cleave plans to attend the University of Nebraska and major in accounting and finance.
