Rhule Wants Huskers to Play the Way Crawford Fights
Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule was asked by a reporter yesterday what he told his players about their primetime home game tomorrow night against Colorado.
He said the message is the same as always, play one snap at a time and play to their standard. Rhule also hopes they play like Omaha boxing champion Terence “Bud” Crawford fights.
“I showed them the Bud Crawford-Errol Spence fight (from 2023) this week,” Rhule said. “You see just the way Terence Crawford goes out there to fight. He’s just so stoic and stone-faced and methodical…there’s not a lot of emotion and rah-rah, there’s not a lot of flash.”
Kickoff at Memorial Stadium tomorrow is set for 6:30 p.m. The pregame begins at 2:30 on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 6 on 93.5 The Hawk.
