Rhule Sings Praises of Unsung Heroes on Special Teams

The ugliest thing about a sometimes ugly win for Nebraska’s football team at Purdue was the field goal tries.

The Huskers had two field goals blocked and another one was missed and bad snaps were an issue.  Meeting with reporters yesterday, coach Matt Rhule noted the special teams also had some unsung heroes.  Rhule said the 28-10 win over the Boilermakers was “a heck of a day for Brian Buschini.”

Rhule also praised Alex Bullock as another unsung hero who “finds a way to get the job done, especially on special teams.”

The Huskers will meet Rutgers, which is 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the Big Ten, for NU’s Homecoming game Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.  The pregame starts at 11 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 2:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
