Rhule: Raiola “Ready to Go”; Adding New OC “Smooth and Seamless”

Nebraska’s football team will try for a program first Saturday – defeat Southern Cal.

The Trojans lead the all-time series against the Huskers 4-0-1.  NU head coach Matt Rhule announced Thursday quarterback Dylan Raiola is “ready to go,” adding the freshman who hurt his back two weeks ago against UCLA had “a great week of practice.”

Rhule called the process of getting new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen involved smooth and seamless.  “I think he’s sees the challenge in it and he also sees the opportunity,” Rhule said.  “The same thing for us.  Obviously, it’s a little bit of a challenge, but I see a tremendous opportunity here.  I have to be flexible, he has to be flexible.  It’s been fun, to be quite honest with you.  It’s been a great week, really two weeks, to make the thing work.  We’ll go out there on Saturday, we’ll play.  What I’m very sure of is that we’ll get better every single day.”

Kickoff Saturday is set for 3 p.m.  The pregame begins at 11 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 2:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
