Rhule: Haarberg Pushing to Play at Wisconsin
Even though he has been limited in practice this week, Nebraska quarterback Heinrich Haarberg has been pushing to play at Wisconsin Saturday night.
That’s what coach Matt Rhule told the media yesterday. Rhule said Haarberg will “definitely be available in some capacity,” but whether he starts depends on how he feels Saturday.
Rhule was asked how quarterbacks Jeff Sims and Chubba Purdy looked in practices this week. “Obviously, any time you have the kind of things that transpired last week, I think everyone comes in determined, knowing that they can fix some of those things, and I think we fixed a lot of things, as a staff, as players,” Rhule said. “They’ve been able to get a lot of reps and they’ve done a really nice job. We’re prepared to play either one or both.”
Tomorrow night’s kickoff is set for 6:30. The pregame starts at 2:30 on News Talk 900 KJSK and at 6 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
