Rhule Answers Question About Clock Management at Wisconsin

Nebraska’s football team suffered its tenth straight loss to Wisconsin, falling 24-17 in overtime Saturday night.
It was also the Huskers seventh consecutive loss in overtime games. After the contest, the first question coach Matt Rhule was asked concerned his clock management at the end of regulation when NU seemed content to settle for a game-tying field goal.
“We were going to take one shot at the end zone,” Rhule said. “Looking back, maybe I should have called that (timeout) earlier, so we maybe had two shots at the end zone. But, a lot of people asked me why I didn’t just run it last week and kick it last week.”
Nebraska needs a win over Iowa in its final regular season game this Friday to become bowl eligible. Kickoff in Lincoln is at 11 a.m. The pregame starts at 7 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and at 10:30 a.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
