Howells-Dodge and Osceola-High Plains will meet in next Tuesday’s eight-man football playoffs. 

The Jaguars, top-seeded in the D1 East bracket, beat Lutheran High Northeast 56-22 in Howells last night.  Meantime, the fourth-seeded Storm Dogs won 46-32 at Creighton.

In the same bracket, number-7 seed Cross County upset second-seeded BDS 20-6 in Bruning.  The Cougars will host 11-seed Tri County next week.

The number-2 seed in the D1 West bracket, Fullerton, also had its season end in a 20-18 loss to Dundy County-Stratton. 

In Class D2, the East top seed Humphrey St. Francis crushed Lawrence-Nelson 60-14. The Flyers will visit number-5 seed Plainview in Tuesday’s quarterfinals.

The number-6 seed in the East, Clarkson/Leigh was eliminated from the playoffs in a 56-6 loss at Falls City Sacred Heart.
