Results From CHS Swimming Invite on Saturday

Columbus High’s swimming team played host to Norfolk and Lincoln Pius X on Saturday.
Pius won the combined score with 220 points, 13 more than Norfolk, while the Discoverers had 129 points. The Thunderbolts won the boys division and the Panthers girls had the top score.
CHS coach Alyssa Dillon reports that while no Discoverers set new state qualifying times, 20 new career-best times were posted.
Ben Jacobs dropped three seconds off his best time in the 200 yard freestyle and is now a half-second off of qualifying. Maddisen Schulz earned second place in the 200 free and is less than a second from qualifying in the 100 yard backstroke.
