Reports: Washington Found Safe After Reported Missing

Former Nebraska running back Maurice Washington was found safe in Lincoln yesterday, according to multiple media reports. 

The reports say Washington was reported missing to Lincoln police last Friday.  LPD did not provide any other details. 

The 20-year old running back was dismissed from NU’s football team by coach Scott Frost in January. 

In March, Washington was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he pleaded no contest in California to a misdemeanor charge.  He was alleged to have sent a video of a sex act to a former girlfriend who was in the video. 

Washington has been in the NCAA transfer portal since January, but hasn’t enrolled in a new school.
