Reports: Huskers DC White, DL Coach Knighton Headed to FSU

It wasn’t official, but by mid-morning several media outlets were reporting that Nebraska defensive coordinator Tony White is headed to Florida State. 

White would reportedly take the same position with the Seminoles according to On3 and other reports.  White has been in charge of the Huskers defense the past two seasons.  NU defensive line coach Terrance Knighton may also be going to FSU, as Greg Smith of Rivals reported the second-year coach would follow White to Tallahassee in another lateral move. 

Nebraska’s defense was instrumental in the Huskers qualifying for a bowl this season for the first time since 2016.  Florida State’s defensive coordinator Adam Fuller was fired after the Seminoles’ record fell to 1-9 on their way to a 2-10 finish.
