Leigha Brown is reportedly leaving the Nebraska women’s basketball program.  The Auburn, Indiana native told the Omaha World-Herald she has put her name in the transfer portal and hopes to go to college closer to home.

In her second year at NU as a sophomore last season, Brown came off the bench to lead the Huskers in scoring, averaging 14.4 points per game. That ranked tenth in the Big Ten in scoring and earned her postseason recognition as the conference’s sixth player of the year.

Since the season ended, Kayla Mershon and Ashtyn Verbeek have also transferred from Nebraska.
