The NSAA Representative Assembly will have a Zoom meeting today and the Omaha World-Herald reports it will hear proposals to add bowling and girls wrestling to the state’s championship lineup.

The newspaper says based on district voting earlier, bowling may be approved before girls wrestling by the NSAA.

The story says Omaha Westside’s athletic director Tom Kerkman will also present a proposal to raise the enrollment cutoff for Class A.  It would be increased from 850 students in grades 9-11 to 900 starting in the 2022-23 school year.

It would not apply to football, which counts boys only and is set at 425.
