Report: Fullerton’s Wetovick Leaves NU Track for Ranching

Fullerton native Brent Wetovick is reportedly leaving Nebraska after having an outstanding freshman season on the Huskers track team. 

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Wetovick has decided to pursue his goal of becoming a rancher. 

Following last fall’s indoor track season, Wetovick was named the Big Ten indoor freshman of the year by the conference’s coaches. 

Wetovick won eight of the nine races he ran in last season.  He was 3-0 in the 600 meters and won a Big Ten title in the event.
