The Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds pitching staff notched its third consecutive shutout last night.

Jordan Kracl and Kolby Blaser combined on a one-hitter in a 9-0 victory at Battle Creek.  Kracl started and allowed the only hit and one walk in two-and-two-thirds innings, striking out four.  Blaser finished with three-and-a-third hitless innings, walking one and fanning five.

At the plate, Blaser went 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs.  Kracl and Eli Osten had two hits and two RBI apiece to help the Junior Reds stay unbeaten at 8-0.  The Reds have won their last three games by a combined score of 31-0.

Meantime, the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors dropped their second one-run decision in as many nights.

Lakeview scored two runs in the top of the sixth at Battle Creek to take an 8-7 lead, but the home club tallied twice in the bottom of the frame and won 9-8.

Cameron Drozd went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run, Haustyn Forney had two hits and scored three runs, and Layne Forney drove in three runs and had two stolen bases.  But, Lakeview’s Seniors fell to 4-5.

Both Lakeview clubs play at West Point tomorrow.
