Raiola Says “My Mistake” For Pick-6, Rhule Bemoans “Missed Opportunity”
Nebraska freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola had another rough game on Saturday, suffering a game-ending back injury late in the Huskers’ 27-20 home loss to UCLA.
Raiola said his back locked up on him and he’ll have to go through testing for the injury. He took responsibility for tossing a pick-6 that gave the Bruins a 20-7 lead early in the second half, saying “my mistake.”
NU head coach Matt Rhule called the loss “a tremendous missed opportunity.”
Raiola will have an extra week to get treatment on his back and it seems like the Huskers could use the bye this week. Nebraska next plays at USC a week from Saturday.
