Nebraska quarterback Casey Thompson appears set to start against Wisconsin tomorrow.
Interim coach Mickey Joseph said Thompson “threw the ball well” yesterday adding “the last three days have been enough for me to see” that Thompson could play at a high level.
The Huskers’ offense has struggled for the last two-plus games that Thompson missed with a nerve injury in his throwing elbow. Joseph was asked about the boost that his return will provide. “It gives you a lot of confidence right now with the offensive guys that he’s back,” Joseph said. “We can push the ball downfield if we need to.”
Tomorrow’s kickoff at Memorial Stadium is set for 11 a.m. The pregame begins at 7 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
