In prep wrestling, all three city teams competed in tournaments on Saturday. 

Columbus High finished second out of seven teams at the Norfolk Invite. The Discoverers scored 165.0 points, falling just 7.5 points behind tourney champion Grand Island.  Four CHS grapplers finished first in their weight class, including Adrian Bice, Blayze Standley, Anthony DeAnda and Kasten Grape.

In the Central Conference tournament at Lexington, Lakeview earned fourth and Schuyler took sixth out of ten clubs.  The Vikings had 152.5 points, 40 points behind champion Aurora, while the Warriors tallied 95.5. Logan Jaixen earned a gold medal for Lakeview and Schuyler’s William Marxsen was an individual champ.

Meantime, Scotus finished fifth out of nine teams at the Bishop Neumann Invite.  Riley Eickmeier took second for the Shamrocks’ best individual finish.
