Columbus High wrestling went 2-1 to finish in fifth place at the State Dual Championships Saturday in Kearney. 

The eighth-seeded Discoverers lost to eventual Class A champion Millard South, but bounced back with wins over Omaha Burke and Kearney.  Aquinas won the championship in Class C, with David City finishing third. Central City earned fifth place in Class B.  

Lakeview’s wrestling team took second out of 12 teams competing at the Norfolk Catholic Invite.  The Vikings recorded 159.5 points, finishing 12 points behind O’Neill. Hayden Johnston, Logan Jaixen and Austin Rollman won individual titles for Lakeview.  Clarkson/Leigh finished 11th in Saturday’s tourney. 

The Cross County/Osceola wrestling club took second place in a tournament at GICC on Saturday.  Ord won the event, with Twin River earning third, Nebraska Christian finishing fifth, North Bend Central taking 10th and Scotus placing eleventh.
