Prep Volleyball and Football Seasons Getting Underway

The prep volleyball season opens Thursday, with most high schools in Nebraska kicking off their football seasons this Friday.
Two area football teams were already in action last Friday. Cross County rolled over Blue Hill 86-8, while Schuyler fell to Sandy Creek 24-0.
Alpha Media’s play-by-play coverage this week starts Thursday when the Scotus volleyball team hosts Kearney Catholic. It’s a 6:45 p.m. first serve on KLIR 101. Two football games will be broadcast on Friday: Lakeview entertains Boys Town on KLIR, while David City visits Twin River on KZ-100. Both games have 7 p.m. kickoffs.
