Prep Softball: Discoverers Win Pair, Vikings Downed

Columbus High’s softball team picked up a pair of wins in a home triangular yesterday.
The Discoverers beat Lincoln Pius X 3-1, then edged Lincoln Northeast 6-5. Columbus has won six of its last seven games and is now 8-7. The Discoverers will visit Lincoln East tomorrow for a doubleheader.
Meanwhile, Lakeview’s softball club fell at Wayne 12-4. The Vikings slipped to 4-3 and will next host the Lakeview Invite on Saturday.
