In high school football this Friday, Columbus High will try for its fourth straight win.
The Discoverers are 3-1 following a 47-32 Homecoming victory over Lincoln Northeast. They’ll visit Lincoln High to battle the 2-2 Links, with Friday’s kickoff set for 6 p.m.
Lakeview, which evened its record at 2-2 with a 49-8 romp over Lincoln Christian, visits 1-3 Central City.
And in another 7 p.m. game that will be aired on KLIR 101, Scotus is 4-0 and hosts 1-3 West Point-Beemer. The Shamrocks are coming off a 28-21 win at Battle Creek.
A matchup of two 4-0 teams can be heard this Friday afternoon on 93.5 The Hawk. St. Francis visits rival Riverside and it’s a 2:30 p.m. kickoff in Cedar Rapids.
