Potts’ Injury Overshadows NU Women’s Fifth Straight Win
Nebraska’s Natalie Potts suffered a knee injury that’s potentially severe as the Huskers beat North Alabama 85-48 last night.
NU’s fifth straight win to begin the season was affected by Potts going down while playing defense with an apparent non-contact knee injury in the second quarter. The Big Ten freshman of the year last season joins Allison Weidner of Humphrey as Huskers who are currently out with injuries.
Callin Hake and Jessica Petrie both had career-highs in scoring with 17 and 14 points, respectively, for NU Tuesday.
Nebraska will face rival Creighton Friday at D.J. Sokol Arena.
