Potts Captures Fourth Big Ten Freshman Award

Natalie Potts of the Nebraska women’s basketball team won her fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Week Award on Monday.

The 6-foot-2 forward averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game for the Huskers last week.

Potts scored 16 second-half points to help NU beat Wisconsin last Thursday.  She had nine points and a career-high four assists in a loss to No. 14 Indiana on Sunday.

For the season, Potts leads conference freshmen in scoring (11.5 ppg) and rebounding (5.9 rbp) while hitting over 72 percent of her two-point field goals and better than 81 percent of her free throws.
