COLUMBUS- A man has been arrested after hitting multiple vehicles and buildings in Columbus Thursday.

At 9:23 a.m., Columbus Police responded to a report that a male driving a truck was hitting multiple vehicles and appeared to have ran into a building at Ace Rent to Own. Officers made contact with the vehicle and driver in the 2600 block of 23 Street. The driver, Jeffrey Wegener, resisted officers forcing an officer to deploy their Taser. Wegener was then taken into custody. Officers determined that Wegener ran his vehicle into the building housing Ace Rent to Own and also ran into 5 parked vehicles in the area. He had also caused damage to several vehicles parked at Farm Credit services outside of City Limits. All vehicles damaged in the City Limits were a total loss and damage to the building is estimated at $15,000 to $20,000.

Wegener was arrested for Willful Reckless driving, Resisting arrest, Criminal Mischief, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage accident and Driving under Revocation.
