Pierce Juniors Upend Albion Twice to Earn Area Title

After Albion knocked Lakeview out in Monday’s semifinals of the B5 Area Junior Tournament, the host team couldn’t keep it rolling yesterday.
Top-seeded Albion, playing at home, was downed twice by number-2 seed Pierce.
After winning 7-2 to force a deciding game, Pierce followed up with a 10-1 romp to win the area title and advance to the Class B state tournament in Waverly.
