OWA Columbus Junior Reds Split Doubleheader in Fremont

The Owens Wealth Advisors Columbus Junior Reds played two games at Fremont Tuesday night. 

They won the league game 3-2 in nine innings, before losing 2-1 in a three-inning contest.  In the league game, the Junior Reds trailed 2-0 entering the seventh inning, but rallied to tie it at 2-all and send it to extra frames. 

Jaeston Delano went 3-for-4, Jayden McKay was 2-for-5 with a double and Gavin Young had a double in three at-bats.  All three drove in one run apiece.  On the mound, Young allowed one run over the first four innings.  Kolton Urkoski got the win, pitching the final five innings and giving up one run on just two hits.

The Junior Reds are 3-1 overall, and 2-0 in league play.  They’ll visit Elkhorn North tonight for a twin bill.
