Osceola Girls Track Team Claims Class D State Title
The Osceola girls track team won the Class D state title on Saturday in Omaha.
Fayth Winkelman won two individual gold medals and was a member of a first-place relay team, helping Osceola tally 48 points, six more than runner-up Nebraska Christian.
The Riverside boys tied for second in the Class D team standings, while Howells-Dodge tied for sixth and Nebraska Christian placed ninth.
In the Class C girls state meet, Shelby-Rising City finished eighth, one spot ahead of Aquinas Catholic. Norfolk Catholic took sixth in the Class C boys meet.
