O’Neill Native Peetz Hired to Guide LSU Offense
O’Neill, Nebraska native Jake Peetz has been hired as LSU’s offensive coordinator.
Peetz had been the Carolina Panthers quarterback coach. He worked under offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who was LSU’s passing game coordinator in the Tigers’ 2019 national championship season.
Peetz was a walk-on at NU in the early 2000s, but never played in a game for the Huskers. Prior to his senior season in 2005, his brother Jesse became seriously ill, taking Jake Peetz away from the team most of the time. His brother was just 29 years old when he died in 2014.
