Omaha Native Bohm Voted to His First MLB All-Star Game

An Omaha Roncalli grad will play in his first career MLB All-Star Game.  Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm has been selected by fan voting to start at the hot corner for the National League.

Bohm is hitting .296 with 11 home runs and 70 RBI, while chipping in four stolen bases so far this season.  He is one of eight players selected to make his first start in the Midsummer Classic on July 16th in Arlington, Texas.

Bohm was the third overall pick of the 2018 MLB draft out of Wichita State.

The Phillies had the most players voted to start in the All-Star Game, as shortstop Trea Turner and first baseman Bryce Harper were also selected.
