Omaha Native Bohm Booms First MLB Homer

Omaha Roncalli grad Alec Bohm belted the first home run of his Major League career last night.  Bohm crushed a 446-foot solo shot off Braves starter Josh Tomlin, helping the Phillies to a 5-4 win.

On the night, Bohm went 3-for-3 and his homer landed in a pond beyond the outfield wall, so he’s literally making a splash early in his career.  The 24-year old Philadelphia third baseman is hitting .344 with a .993 OPS in his first 10 games.

The Omaha native was the third overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft out of Wichita State.
