NU’s Kubik, CU’s Davis Earn National Freshman Honors

Nebraska volleyball’s Madi Kubik has been named the national freshman of the year by VolleyballMag.com. 

She’s the first Nebraska player to earn such an honor since Sarah Pavan was named the AVCA’s freshman of the year 15 years ago. 

Creighton’s Keeley Davis was picked by the publication as a freshman All-American.

Meantime, Nebraska finished fifth and Creighton was ranked 16th in the final AVCA Coaches Poll that was released yesterday. 

Stanford, which won the national championship, received all 64 first-place votes.
