NU’s Gary to Have Shoulder Surgery, Miss Rest of Season

Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg announced Wednesday evening that Juwan Gary will have surgery on his left shoulder and miss the rest of the season.
Gary suffered the injury in the first half of the Huskers’ loss to Illinois last Tuesday.
The 6-foot-6 junior forward started all 17 games in his first season at Nebraska after transferring from Alabama. He averaged 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and a team-high 1.4 steals per game.
