NU Volleyball’s Harper Murray Pleads No Contest to DUI
Nebraska volleyball star Harper Murray has pleaded no contest to DUI as part of a plea deal.
Two other charges, careless driving and having a fake license, were dropped. Murray was stopped by police while driving in Lincoln on April 5.
Police said the 19-year old’s blood-alcohol level tested at 0.169, more than double the legal limit. Her sentencing is set for July 22.
Murray still faces a misdemeanor charge in a shoplifting case. But, reports indicate she has applied for pretrial diversion which, if approved, would let her perform community service and stay out of trouble for six months to have that charge dropped.
